WithSeismic isn't a typical software agency. It's the engineering partner I wish I had when I was building my first startup.

## The Founder Story

I'm **Doug Silkstone**, and I lead WithSeismic. I'm a software engineer who thinks like a business owner.

My career spans the full spectrum of technical growth: from **performance marketing** and **technical analytics** to **internal tooling** and **product development**. I've helped early-stage startups raise **\$20M+** in funding, scaled products to acquisition, and built tools used by tens of thousands.

At **VoucherCloud**, I led the technical growth strategy that helped scale the business from startup to **Groupon acquisition**. I built the internal tooling and automation systems that allowed a small team to outcompete enterprises with 500+ staff.

## The Philosophy: Operator Engineering

Traditional engineering is about "correctness" and "clean code".
**Operator Engineering** is about **leverage**.

* **Traditional Dev**: "I need 3 weeks to refactor the authentication service."
* **Operator Engineer**: "I can use a managed auth provider and ship the billing feature today."

We optimize for **Time to Revenue**. We believe that the best code is the code that is running in production, solving a user's problem.

## Why We Don't Do "Agile"

We don't do daily standups. We don't do Jira tickets. We don't do estimation poker.
These are rituals designed to manage low-trust teams.

We operate on **High Trust / High Velocity**:

2. **Async Execution**: We build, ship, and demo via Loom/Slack.
